Le Bandit vs Le Pharaoh and the Rest of the Le Series: Where to Start
Le Bandit Slot Review: Original Game vs Le Pharaoh and Other Releases
A cartoon raccoon with a crowbar isn't the usual face of a casino slot, but that's exactly what makes Le Bandit memorable. Hacksaw Gaming's Paris-set game follows Smokey, a troublemaking raccoon hunting for treasure, and replaces traditional paylines with cascading clusters and special Golden Squares.
Smokey later returned in Le Pharaoh and other games, each with different features. Here's how the original compares with its follow-ups and where you might want to start.
Introducing Le Bandit
The original Le Bandit uses six reels and five rows, with wins formed by clusters of matching symbols rather than fixed paylines. When a combination pays, the winning symbols disappear and replacements fall into place. The process can repeat, producing several wins from one spin.
The distinctive mechanic is Golden Squares. Winning positions become highlighted, and a Rainbow symbol can activate those squares to reveal coins, clovers, or pots of gold. Coins have cash values; clovers can multiply nearby prizes; and pots collect values from the grid.
There are also three different bonus rounds:
Luck of the Bandit: Triggered by three free-spin symbols, with Golden Squares carrying over between spins until activated.
All That Glitters Is Gold: Four symbols award 12 free spins, during which highlighted squares stay active throughout the feature.
Treasure at the End of the Rainbow: Five symbols award 12 free spins, with a Rainbow guaranteed on every spin.
The maximum advertised win is 10,000x the stake. That's an upper limit, not a typical payout.
Le Pharaoh: A Different Adventure
Le Pharaoh takes Smokey from the streets of Paris to ancient Egypt. The familiar treasure-hunting theme remains, but the gameplay is built around Sticky Re-drops rather than Le Bandit's Super Cascades.
Winning symbols stay in position while the remaining spaces refill. These wins create Golden Squares, which can later reveal coins and special symbols through the Golden Riches feature.
Le Pharaoh also gives players more choice during certain bonus triggers. Landing three or four free-spin symbols opens a menu with two possible bonus types: a free-spins feature or a collection-focused Lost Treasures round. Five free-spin symbols trigger the Rainbow Over the Pyramids bonus, where a Rainbow appears on every spin.
If you like the original's coin-collecting ideas but want more varied bonus mechanics, Le Pharaoh is worth comparing.
Other Games in the Le Series
Smokey's adventures didn't stop in Egypt. Hacksaw Gaming has released several related titles, including:
Le Viking: A Norse-themed game featuring Raid Spins, sticky coins, and symbols that affect collected prizes.
Le King: A royal-themed entry that expands the Golden Squares concept with jackpot markers and different bonus rounds.
Le Bandit Hold & Win: A separate take on the original character, concentrating on coin collection and Hold & Win features.
These aren't simply copies with different backgrounds. Each changes how wins form or how bonus rounds develop, making demo play a useful way to compare them.
Le Bandit Slot Demo, Free Play and RTP
The le bandit slot demo lets you explore cascades, Golden Squares, and bonus features using virtual credits, where available. Searching for le bandit free play usually leads to the same kind of practice experience: you can learn the rules without placing real-money bets.
The standard le bandit rtp is 96.34%, but Hacksaw Gaming also lists versions at 94.23%, 92.17%, and 88.36%. The casino chooses the configuration, so check the in-game information at Aslot rather than assuming the highest RTP is active.
RTP is a theoretical average calculated over many plays, not a promise of what you'll receive in one session.
Which Game Should You Choose?
Start with Le Bandit if you enjoy cascading clusters and a clearly defined Golden Squares mechanic. Le Pharaoh offers more elaborate bonus choices, while Le Viking and Le King take the familiar character in other directions.
Check which titles are available at Aslot, and consider trying a demo first. Whichever game you choose, set a spending limit and remember that every outcome depends on chance.
